Spire

Description

The Spire is an annual publication created by Elgin Community College. It is a journal of the arts and exists to showcase both visual and literary art created by ECC's students. With this in mind, I knew I wanted to create a cover design that would emphasize the idea of a variety of artistic mediums working together to create one publication. I created graphics depicting gears and creative tools to form a machine like structure that represented my concept perfectly.

I was also the lead designer in charge of the Spire's content layout. I completed photo preparation, document preparation as well as layout design. I maintained a clean and consistent look throughout the entire piece.
